St. George, southern Utah's largest city, is an artist’s canvas of green beneath red rock cliffs in Utah's desert southwest.  You’ll find historic buildings, lots of golf courses and plenty of shopping. Nearby are Snow Canyon State Park (10 miles northwest) and the alpine wilderness of the Pine Valley Mountains (38 miles north).  St. George also works as a base from which to visit Zion National Park (40 miles northeast).  And you can kick up your recreational activities at the casinos in Mesquite, Nevada (30 miles southwest).
This summer there is a free Concerts in the Park series.  Bring your blanket and picnic basket, settle in and enjoy!  Or journey back in time to the St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm Dinosaur Track Site and find fossilized bones and footprints of dinosaurs!  It’s a must see for anyone interested in dinosaurs, geology and the ancient Jurassic world. 

Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, don’t miss the Historic St. George LIVE! Tour and re-live the history and culture of the area. Travel to six historic sites where volunteer actors in authentic costumes relate the history of the buildings (Info: 435-634-5942).
