WorldMark The Camlin
When checking in, relish in the gorgeous lobby decorated with dark wood and marble, period furnishings and the original piano that had been in “The Cloud Room” restaurant prior to the resort becoming WorldMark The Camlin.
Because of its extraordinary urban location and close proximity to an array of restaurants, the units are hotel-sized and offer kitchenettes with limited cooking facilities; however, there is a common area full-sized kitchen available for owner and guest use. Or, if you want to partake in an outdoor meal, a Barbecue area awaits you. When you are not out on the town, you can kick back in the heated outdoor pool and spa, catch up on emails, workout in the fitness center or plan your next sightseeing tour with the on-site concierge.
Located across the street from the Washington State Convention Center and the Paramount Theater and just steps from Seattle’s vibrant 6th and Pine shopping district, you’ll find a vast amount of restaurants, shopping, attractions, and more nearby.
While in the city, you can catch a live sporting event at Qwest Stadium featuring the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks, MLB’s Seattle Mariners or the MLS’s Seattle Sounders. If sports aren’t your thing, the historic Paramount and Moore Theatres provide live theater that the whole family can enjoy or for more “high class” evening listen to the Seattle Symphony Orchestra at Benaroya Hall. But what would a vacation to Seattle be without seeing the symbol of the city, The Space Needle. Located in Seattle Center, the Space Needle provides an observation deck at 520 feet that offers a breathtaking view of the Bay. While there you can also see the Experience Music Project and Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame, which features rock and science fiction memorabilia from the greats of both genres including Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Rod Serling and Ray Bradbury.
WorldMark Coral Baja
If you haven’t visited this resort in a while or at all, you will be delighted when you check into the new lobby, which recently received a significant makeover and expansion. The new lobby adds 2,450 square feet to the existing 1,600 square-foot space and features traditional Mexican architecture and finishes.
In addition to the lobby renovation, you will enjoy the new pool deck. The pool, which is the centerpiece of the resort, was improved for both safety and appearance. The repoured concrete with integrated color and the textured pattern is quite appealing. After taking a stroll on the new deck, take a dip in the pool; grab a drink at the swim-up bar or a bite to eat at Restaurant Mama Mia with an ocean view and live music nightly.
Cap off the night by putting in a CD or listening to the radio while you sit on your balcony and take in the view of the Sea of Cortez, or kick back and enjoy a movie. This will relax you for the next day when you’ll enjoy all of the activities that this resort has to offer including a tennis court, shuffleboard court, putting green and outdoor spa.
WorldMark Depoe Bay
Your coastal getaway offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean whether you are lounging on the sofa or relaxing in the jetted tub in your spacious unit. In the cooler months, romantics will love cuddling in front of the fireplace while listening to the waves crash along the shore. In addition to the in-unit amenities, the resort has three pools, three Jacuzzis, a recreation center with exercise equipment, a tennis court and an outdoor children’s area.
With all of the water surrounding this resort, you know the fishing is great! Hop on a boat, there is one leaving every hour (weather permitting). If you’re not in the mood for fishing, go explore old-growth forests, tidal pools and “spouting horns,” just to name a few of nature’s finer things that you can discover nearby.
When you are ready to venture out away from the resort, you can find nautical gift shops, art galleries, museums, antique shops. There are also factory outlet stores and a casino in Lincoln City.
With whale-watching being the most popular attraction, it is a must to add to your itinerary. Ten months out of the year, Gray Whales make their home off the coast so you’re likely to catch a glimpse of these spectacular sea creatures. Devils Punch Bowl State Natural Area, named for a hollow rock formation shaped like a gigantic punch bowl, is a popular whale-watching site approximately 25 miles from the resort. The park features picnic areas, beach access and a hiking trail. Another whale-watching location is Cape Foulweather. Discovered in 1778 by Captain James Cook, this site is one of the highest points along the Oregon coast at 500 feet and is located in Depoe Bay. In the mood for more altitude? Climb the stairs of Oregon’s tallest lighthouse, the. Active since 1873, the Yaquina Head Lighthouse features 114 stairs and stands 93 feet in height.
