WorldMark Coral Baja Not Accepting New Reservations for Travel Prior to Sept. 1, 2015
On Sept. 14, 2014, Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula was hit by Hurricane Odile — severely impacting the WorldMark Coral Baja
resort and the surrounding area. There was extensive damage to both the interior and exterior of the resort as well as the exterior amenities, and these damages
require extensive repair work to be done in many areas of the resort.
As our construction efforts progress, we will continue to accommodate a limited number of guests with existing reservations wherever possible, however due to the current state of the resort and the repairs taking place, the WorldMark Coral Baja resort will now no longer accept new reservations with arrival dates through Aug. 31, 2015 (previously communicated date was June 18, 2015). There are several factors that have contributed to a setback in the timeline of our repair and reconstruction efforts, primarily related to delays in receiving shipments of building materials and replacement furniture as a result of a recent longshoreman’s union strike, causing major international shipping delays.
We will be proactively contacting any owners with confirmed reservations during the impacted timeframe that we will not be able to accommodate, to advise them of the change in the reopening schedule and to offer to rebook them for future date. While the property is being repaired and restored, we encourage you to stay tuned to your owner website for resort updates.
