Resort Overview

Located between the Washington mainland and Vancouver Island, Orcas is considered to be the most beautiful of the San Juan Islands. Miles of shoreline ribbon the island and surrounding land masses offer protection from harsh weather, which means the island enjoys a year-round climate that is more moderate than other locations in the Pacific Northwest. The charming villages of Olga, Deer Harbor, Eastsound and Orcas Village dot the island as hubs of activity, each individual community offering a unique personality and feel. Enjoy an amazing range of delicious eating experiences—from simple pub fare to fine dining—variety is the name of the game, and local, organic produce, fish, meat and shellfish is often the mainstay of an incredible meal created by some of the Northwest's top chefs. Quaint boutiques, art galleries and museums all add to an experience not to be missed.

Nestled on 11 acres on Orcas Island, WorldMark Deer Harbor overlooks the Deer Harbor Marina. The rustic style units are comfortable and each features a cozy fireplace, perfect for those cooler evenings. And, after a day spent exploring the outdoors, what could be more relaxing than walking out onto your deck, sinking into your own personal outdoor hot tub and watching the sun sink slowly down in the distance. A fitness center and pool will ensure you can still get your exercise even if you don't venture far from the resort.

  • This property is accessible only by ferry, small plane or private boat.
  • Seaplane transportation via Kenmore Air leaving from Seattle can be booked by calling WorldMark by Wyndham Travel at 1-800-953-5511.
  • Ferries to Orcas Island depart from Anacortes, Washington or Sidney, British Columbia.
  • The ferry ride to Orcas Island from Anacortes is approximately 80 minutes.

Whale Watching
Don't miss the opportunity for a whale watching tour. Most tours offer a trained naturalist on board who can point out the sights such as Orca (Killer) Whales, Minke Whales, Elephant Seals, Harbor Seals, Stellar and California Sea Lions, Gray Whales, Dall's and Harbor Porpoises, Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Cormorants and Great Blue Herons, depending on the season.

Orcas Island Farmers Market
Open from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. every Saturday from the first weekend in May to the last weekend of September on the Village Green in the heart of Eastsound. Discover local, organic produce, coffee, homemade soaps, textiles, artisan food, baked goods, plants, jewelry, candles, pottery and much more at this weekly gathering of farmers, artists, and chefs, all sharing goods produced on Orcas Island. Meet the farmers, local artisans & craftspeople.

Moran State Park
Visit one of the nation's most beautiful parks to hike, bike, swim, or explore. Moran State Park covers 5,252-acres, has over 38 miles of hiking trails and five freshwater lakes. Drive, bike, or hike up the 2,409-foot-high Mt. Constitution, the highest point on the San Juan Islands, for a 360° view of island-dotted ocean and snow-capped Mount Baker. The gift shop and Learning Center are seasonal.
